Maggie is now looking for her perfect retirement home to live out the rest of her fun loving years . Maggie never cared much for the show ring- but she was a great mother and gave us some lovely puppies . She prefers to be at home in the yard rolling around in the leaves ,chewing on sticks or just following us around. We have Raised Maggie since the day she was born into our hands. She is what I call my Hippie child. Maggie doesn't have a care in the world. She dances to her own tune. She loves people, belly rubs, walks and gets along with all my other dogs. Maggie was never much for playing fetch - She does love her toys though. She will carry them around and play and nurture them.
A lot of people ask how I can get rid of a dog I have had so long? To me, the answer is so simple. A true responsible, caring, ethical breeder will place any dog/puppy into the perfect home when they know they can not give that sweet dog/puppy the attention she needs.
I am a busy person, I have my family including 2 children. This Spring we have kept 3 puppies to raise and train for our future shows and that in its self is a big commitment and time consuming. We are a very small hobby breeder and I never keep more than I can respectfully handle. In the end the dogs give us unconditional love and it is now that I show the same respect to them. I am so thankful that I can sit back take the time help my older dogs find the same loving homes I do with my puppies. I never want to ask too much from my dogs so when it is their time to find the perfect home I will do so for them. The benefits of owing an adult Lab are fabulous. Maggie is Leash trained, kennel run and crate trained , she is very friendly.
